The screening of "The Essene" in El Salvador.

I was recently invited by Dr. Kenneth Fernandez to speak at the Reclaiming Health & Longevity Convention in El Salvador. Kenneth and I were introduced through a close mutual friend in Mexico City. We met briefly, had a great conversation, spent some time together, and shortly afterward he extended the invitation.

I had never been to El Salvador before, but I had heard incredible things. My girlfriend Maia (co editor of the film) and I decided to go – and from the moment we arrived, the experience exceeded every expectation. The people are some of the kindest, most generous, and warmest I’ve ever met anywhere in the world. It’s easy to see why: after decades of being one of the most dangerous countries in the hemisphere, the new leadership has transformed it into one of the safest and most welcoming places in Central America.

The convention itself was extraordinary. Speakers from all over the globe shared cutting-edge ideas on health, longevity, and preparing for the future. The audience was filled with fascinating, like-minded individuals – free thinkers exploring alternative ways to live more consciously and meaningfully.

On the second day I had the honor of joining a panel where I spoke about my research on the Essenes and their remarkable way of living in complete harmony with nature. The response was overwhelming – many deep, profound questions and genuine interest from the crowd.

The convention flowed directly into the Bitcoin Conference, and on the final evening Dr. Kenneth and his partner Chris organized something unforgettable: a trip up to a luxury hotel perched in the clouds above Lake Coatepeque, with its dramatic volcano often called a contender for the 8th wonder of the world. The setting was pure magic. That night we screened “The Essene.” Watching the audience react and hearing the conversations that followed was one of the most rewarding moments I’ve ever experienced.

El Salvador is still a hidden gem – not yet overrun by mass tourism, yet brimming with natural beauty, warm people, and new energy. It is quickly becoming the jewel of Central America, and I highly recommend anyone curious about the world to visit while it still feels this authentic.
