The Story Behind "Semaya"
Back in 2013, while living in New York City, I produced a track called Semaya. After stepping away from the mainstream industry, I decided to dive into the electronic music scene—and it turned out to be an incredible journey. I had the privilege of DJing at high-end clubs, unforgettable parties, and events filled with amazing music and energy.
Years later, life took me to Synergia Ranch in New Mexico, a truly special place where I met extraordinary people—pioneers in science, art, philosophy, and beyond. Among them was John P. Allen, the visionary founder of the ranch (and Biosphere 2). I had the honor of caring for him during that time.
One day, John shared with me a series of captivating videos from his documentary series Journeys to Other Worlds. In these episodes, he and a cameraman traveled to remote locations around the globe, intimately documenting sacred rituals and indigenous cultures during an epic expedition aboard the RV Heraclitus.
The moment I saw the footage, I was amazed. It perfectly captured the spiritual vibe of Semaya. That's how this music video came to life—pairing my track with those rare images.
This project not only reignited my passion but inspired many more creative projects to come, opening the door to filmmaking.
