To say the least, it feels like I’ve been living in a Da Vinci Code movie ever since I stumbled upon The Gospel of Peace by Edmond Bordeaux. He claims the book is based on ancient writings by the Essenes—scrolls he supposedly saw in the archives of the Vatican and at Monte Cassino in Italy. That discovery pulled me into the fascinating world of the Essenes, and I found myself diving deep into their story, exploring both conventional historical sources and more alternative perspectives.
At the time, I was lost in life, searching for something real—something that made sense. So when I read about the natural fast described in The Gospel of Peace, I tried it. Not because I was chasing some spiritual trend, but because, in that moment, it simply felt right. It offered clarity. It gave structure where there was none.
But now, with some distance, I see the story a little differently. I start to wonder: what if the ancients knew something we don’t? What if nature itself holds systems far more advanced than what modern science can currently grasp? What if those ancient scrolls were not just mystical texts or religious teachings, but encoded science—observations and understandings of the natural world that we’ve overlooked or dismissed as myth?
These questions open a door to many more. What do we really know to be true? What knowledge have we lost—or worse, ignored? According to Edmond Bordeaux, the Essenes were a community of natural humans, deeply in tune with the rhythms of the earth and the cosmos. They lived simply but were highly aware—almost like they were part of a living, breathing system that modern life has detached us from.
And then there’s Yehoshua—known today as Jesus—a name rooted in the Hebrew “Yeshua,” meaning salvation. But what if ‘salvation’ wasn’t meant to point to a single man, but a state of being? A return to harmony with nature, with ourselves, and with whatever deeper order might govern existence?
So many questions. And slowly, some answers. But the deeper I go, the more I realize how much remains hidden—right in plain sight.
